ARAPATE CONDEMNS ILESA CULT KILLING, WANTS PERPETRATORS ARRESTED. 

The Arapate of Ilesa, High Chief Oluwagbenga Fadunsin Ayeni Igbaroola has condemned in strong terms the recent killing of a young man at Iyemogun axis of Ilesa, Ilesa East Local Government.

In a statement made available to newsmen at his Chieftaincy House in Ilesa on Tuesday, the Arapate of Ilesa described the incident as condemnable, unacceptable and alien to the behavioral pattern of peace-loving people of Ijesaland.

"A young man who was known as an Aluminum Fabricator was killed in the cult clash at Iyemogun, Ilesa on Tuesday afternoon by suspected cult members", he said.

According to him, the activities of cultists have instilled phobia in the residents with residents finding it difficult to sleep with two eyes closed. He called for the beef up of security in Ilesa and its environs to prevent reccurrence of such unfortunate incident while he charged the Security Agents to get the perpetrators arrested.

The High Chief said that he was disturbed by the ugly incident which serve as a setback to his efforts to restore peace back to Ilesa in particular and the entire Ijesaland.

He posited that the commitment of the Government to security of lives and property of its citizens must remain non-negotiable and must be guaranteed while He urged Gov. Gboyega Oyetola to take proactive measures to check the activities of secret cults and other criminals in the state without any further delay.
