Letter to upcoming Mothers 4

One question that has been ruminating in my mind is that is it possible to God to help you and give conditions?

At times, the inability of parents to do their rights over their children,make them agree to things they are not supposed to do which can ruin their future.

Yeah, all his promises to me, gave me an assurance that the man I met, is a good Samaritan. I later got to know that his name is " Olaoluwa Adebisi". 

What were his promises? He would get me a new apartment, allow me to continue my education, open a big shop for my fashion designing work, buy me new sowing machines and enroll me into a fashion designing school for more knowledge.

Who would hear those words and won't fall, only if you are discerning enough. My joy, knew no bound as I was elated that my long time prayers are getting answered by God.

I told my Boss's daughter, who happens to be a very good sister to me. She told me that what the man wants is not far fetched that is, all he promised is not a proof that he is a good samaritan but because wants to do it, to get something in return. After our discussion, I got angry at her that she is an enemy of progress and ignored her advice.

One day, my so called "good samaritan", invited me over to his house for a lunch. At first, I declined but another mind said, I should better go for my own good which I could not resist because the voice really packaged itself till I believed it. 

Dear lady, there is nothing as good as you knowing your worth and setting a good standard for yourself. The truth is, if you do not set good standard for yourself, guys will useless you. If you do not stand for something, my dear lady, you will fall for so mere things.

My naivety, allowed me to accept his lunch offer. I got to his house and the door was opened by the gateman who has been expecting me. 

Kai, ignorance is a really killer. I never has any opportunity to attend programs that could aid my growth nor know anything about life generally especially in relating with opposite sex.

My so called " good samaritan", invited me into his own bedroom, put on the generator because there was no power supply, serve me a drink to chill before his chef finishes the food preparation and we began to discuss. 

He asked me so many questions which I was truthful, and before I knew what was going on, he already began to make sexual advances to me. I was shocked and I resisted at first but he threatened not to fulfill the promises again and because of my desperation and my low self esteem, I could not resist anymore nor shout and moreover, I don't know anyway to do a self defense of myself and he did what he wanted, he raped me. I wept!!!

Well, he apologized saying the usual rhyme everybody knows "It is the devil's handiwork". He then promised to double everything he had promised before. But, what should I do? I left his house immediately in sorrows and tears. Do you think I will accept his apology, based on his second promise? Don't forget, he is yet to fulfill the previous promises.
